The woodchip campground is the perfect family campground located in Byron Center, MI. It is close to Grand Rapids, so if you want to spend a night out or go out to eat, you are close by and have access to stores if you forget anything. That being said their camp store is also stocked completely with anything you may have forgotten. I forgot syrup and hot dog buns and they had both!

We stayed at the lots that surrounded the playground and loved it! We have smaller kids, so we tend to hover when they are at the playground and this is the first campground that allowed us to relax by the fire and still see our kiddos running around on the playground. For that reason alone I should give it a 10 out of 10 stars!
Activities:
On Saturday nights they have their staple root beer float night, which was delicious and they also had a balloon guy come and make each of the kids an animal of their choice! During the day they had inflatable slides for big and little kids, and a foam sprayer. We were never bored when we were at this campground that’s for sure!
Affordability:
This campground was affordable which was a nice perk especially with all the amenities they offered. That being said their rates do very depending on what time of year you go, they also offer promotional weekends on their Facebook page a lot where you could win a free weekend of camping!
